Have you ever thought about volunteering with Big Sisters? We think you would make a GREAT mentor! If you are interested in getting involved please read on.
“Being a Big Sister is not about ‘fixing’ kids or making them ‘better,’ it’s just about being there for them. It’s about listening and giving your support to them no matter what.” – Big Sister Muryn
Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland is currently looking for new Big Sister volunteers. Big Sister mentors are females, age 19 or older, who are interested in developing a fun, mentoring friendship with a young girl in their community. To find out more about becoming a Big Sister, we invite you to attend the next Big Sisters Information Session. Information Sessions are hosted by a current Big Sister volunteer who will share with you her personal experience as a Big Sister, what’s like and what you can expect in this exciting and rewarding volunteer role!
